The 2018 edition of the Eurogas Central and Eastern Europe conference took place on 8-9 October in Vienna. The conference, entitled “Achieving sustainable energy in Central and Eastern Europe”, focused on gas market development and the decarbonisation of heat. Specifically, the panels addressed how the functioning of the European gas market can be further improved, how new products can stimulate the market, and how domestic and industrial customers as well as the climate and air quality can benefit more. It also looked at how the decarbonisation of heat can be spurred in the region and how gas (natural, decarbonised and renewable) can contribute.
